With on-the-go access to everything from mapping Park and Ride locations and finding the best biking routes – as well as receiving instant notices about weather delays and cancellations, the new ABQ Fiesta mobile app offers this year’s Balloon Fiesta goers fingertip access to everything they’ll need on and off the field.
Created by APPCityLife, Inc., a local mobile media company, the ABQ Fiesta app not only offers detailed information about Albuquerque’s biggest ballooning event, the app also features complete city guides for both Albuquerque and Santa Fe with everything from local shopping and attractions to finding the nearest urgent care facility or emergency room. Created as a community event app and open to advertising by businesses throughout the region, the app offers visitors an enhanced mobile experience and provides affordable and even free mobile marketing opportunities to small businesses who often find it difficult to directly reach the thousands of visitors who visitAlbuquerqueeach year during the ten days of Balloon Fiesta.
“Our goal was create a mobile event guide with easy access to everything you’d want to know about Fiesta,” says founder Lisa Abeyta, “ and, best of all, some of our community partners including the BioPark, theBalloonMuseum, and several local businesses have all stepped to offer some exciting giveaways and special discounts for our app users.” A few of the prizes for the giveaway drawings include free entry for children into the exclusive Diamond Club at the Balloon Museum, free tickets to Tours of Old Town’s history and ghost tours and free BioPark passes. Giveaway drawings will begin Tuesday, September 27, and will continue with new drawings featured each day throughout Fiesta.
The ABQ Fiesta app can be downloaded in iTunes. And through patented technology, the app can also be launched through theAlbuquerqueguide of the APPCityLife mobile app. The apps are compatible with all iOS devices including iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.
