RESOLUTION

FOR AN AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 280 ACRES AND BORDERED GENERALLY BY 4TH, 5TH, 7TH AND 8TH STREETS ON THE EAST, CENTRAL AVENUE ON THE SOUTH, 19TH STREET ON THE WEST, AND MOUNTAIN ROAD ON THE NORTH, ADOPTING THE DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA SECTOR DEVELOPMENT PLAN AS A RANK 3 PLAN; CHANGING EXISTING ZONING FROM SU-2/SINGLE FAMILY (SF), SU-2/TOWNHOUSE (TH), RESIDENTIAL TOWNHOUSE (RT), SU-2/MEDIUM DENSITY APARTMENT (MDA), SU-2/HIGH DENSITY APARTMENT (HDA), SU-2/RESIDENTIAL COMMERCIAL (RC), SU-2/OFFICE (O), SU-2/NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL (NC), SU-2/COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL (CC), SU-2/MIXED RESIDENTIAL/ OFFICE (MR/O), SU-2/SU-1, SU-2/PARK (PK), SU-3/HOUSING FOCUS, AND SU-3/MIXED USE CORRIDOR TO SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA SINGLE FAMILY (SF), SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA TOWNHOUSE (TH), SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA MIXED RESIDENTIAL (MR), SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA OFFICE RESIDENTIAL (OR), SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA MIXED USE LIGHT (MUL), SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA MIXED USE MEDIUM (MUM), SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL (NC), SU-2/DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD AREA CENTRAL CORRIDOR (CC), SU-2/PARK (PK), AND SU-2/SU-1.

WHEREAS, the City Council, the governing body of the City ofAlbuquerque, has the authority to adopt and amend plans for the physical development of areas within the planning and platting jurisdiction of the City authorized by Statute, Section 3-19-1 et. seq., NMSA 1978, and by its home rule powers; and

WHEREAS, on April 7, 2011, the Environmental Planning Commission, in its advisory role on land use and planning matters, recommended that City Council adopt the Downtown Neighborhood Area Sector Development Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Environmental Planning Commission found approval of the Downtown Neighborhood Area Sector Development Plan consistent with applicable goals and policies of the Albuquerque / Bernalillo County Comprehensive Plan, the Trails and Bikeways Facility Plan, the Facility Plan for Electric Service Transmission and Subtransmission Facilities, the Sawmill Wells Park Sector Development Plan (SDP), the Huning Castle Raynolds Addition SDP, the Downtown 2010 Plan, the McClellan Park SDP, the Fourth Ward Historic Overlay Zone, the Eighth and Forrester Historic Overlay Zone, the Comprehensive City Zoning Code and R-270-1980.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OFALBUQUERQUE:
