8. Review Director’s Summary Dismissals
a. NEA-NM v. West Las Vegas School District and Gene Parsons; PELRB No. 106-13. As of the creation of this agenda the time limit for the union to appeal the Summary Dismissal of its PPC had not yet passed. Depending on whether a timely appeal is filed this matter will be heard either as a report by the Director on his dismissal of the case or as an appeal.
b. AFSCME Council 18 v. NM Taxation & Revenue Dep’t.; PELRB No. 116-12. As of the creation of this agenda the time limit for the union to appeal the Summary Dismissal of its Petition had not yet passed. Depending on whether a timely appeal is filed this matter will be heard either as a report by the Director on his dismissal of the case or as an appeal.
9. Appeal to Board of Director’s Summary Dismissal
a. Socorro Consolidated School District v. Socorro School Employees’ Association, Local 3878, PELRB No. 305-13.
10. New business:
a. Proposed rule change to NMAC §11.21.5.12. The proposed amendment is to establish a deadline within which an approved local board must be constituted and meet regarding any remanded issues or to promulgate rules necessary to accomplish and perform its functions and duties.
1. Discussion regarding availability of the notice through the PELRB website as well as the individual notice option.
b. Recent Amendment to §10-15-1 NMSA 197. Regarding procedures for open meetings; exceptions and procedures for closed meetings.
c. Schedule next meeting.
