By Order of the Superior and Juvenile Courts of Cherokee County, Georgia, you are hereby notified that on the 6th day of May, 2020, and the 3rd day of June, 2020, Petitioner, Emily L. Brown filed suit against you, Rochelle N. Lopez, Miguel Angel Medel, and any Unknown Biological Father, respectively titled Petition for Dependency (20DP0099), and Petition for Adoption of Minor Child Pursuant to OCGA 19-8-7, or in the Alternative, Petition for Permanent Custody (20AD0033). You are required to file with the Clerk of Superior and Juvenile Court of Cherokee County, Georgia, 90 North Street Suite #G170, Canton, Georgia 30114, and to serve upon Petitioner’s attorney, Philip D. Price, Price Law Group, at 301 East Main Street, Canton, GA, an answer in writing within sixty (60) days of publication of this notice.
Notice to biological father regarding adoption proceedings: Any biological father who is not a legal father shall lose all rights to the child and will neither receive notice nor be entitled to object to the adoption of the child unless, within 30 days of receipt of such notice, the biological father files: (1) A petition to legitimate the child pursuant to GA Code Section 19-7-22 as a separate civil action; (2) Notice of the filing of the petition to legitimate with the court in which the action under this Code section, if any, is pending, and (3) Notice of the filing of the petition to legitimate to Petitioner’s attorney, Philip D. Price, Price Law Group, at 301 East Main Street, Canton, Georgia.
