This Notice of Pendency notifies you that a Petition for Adoption has been filed by Adam Vicent Barela and Ashley Victoria Barela, to adopt your children Serenity Marie Carrillo, and Nevaeha Angel Carrillo. You are further notified that you should file a response to the Petition for Adoption WITHIN TWENTY (20) DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF THIS NOTICE OF PENDENCY, IF YOU INTEND TO CONTEST THE ADOPTION. FAILURE TO SO RESPOND SHALL BE TREATED AS A DEFAULT AND YOUR CONSENT TO THE ADOPTION SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED.
If you wish to contest the adoption, you must file your response with the Clerk of the District Court and you must mail a copy of your response to the attorney for the Petitioners within 20 days. Failure to respond will be treated by the court as a default.
